About - Committees
This committee has been charged with the branding and marketing of Forward High Point thru such sources as Website and Social Media presences. In addition, they have begun work on a downtown business guide (the end results of which you will eventually see here within this website). The Marketing Committee will also look to serve as mentor to the Events Committee and will facilitate communication needs from the committee to the community on an event by event basis. The committee is also tasked with marketing what a downtown is and how to strengthen its central core by determining what the public perception of downtown is and how it can become a vibrant live, work, and play community. As more downtown projects and events arrive on the horizon, look to this committee to expand its assistance with other downtown groups in marketing downtown as a fun destination to visit.

Newly Formed, Forward High Point’s Events Committee will begin meeting once monthly, in June 2018.
This committee has been charged with determining what downtown events will be promoted, sponsored, designed, and implemented by Forward High Point. This committee will also review on a regular basis, all events placed on our Event Calendar and make recommendations to the Marketing Committee as to how this communication source can be grown and expanded via our website.
As more downtown events arrive on the horizon, look to this committee to expand its assistance with other downtown groups in making downtown a fun destination to play.
Still in the development stage, our Economic Development committee, when fully functional and meeting, will be charged with pursuing and promoting redevelopment opportunities by working with business owners, developers and interested companies to help downtown continue to expand and grow. The economic goal and progress of this committee will be to make downtown the location to live, work, and play, a downtown that High Point citizens will be proud of.
