Development Incentive Program

The purpose of the Development Incentive Grant is to encourage rehabilitation of older buildings and/or promote infill growth with new commercial development in High Point’s Downtown Municipal Service District.

Facade Improvement Program

To provide an economic incentive to areas within the Uptowne, Downtown, Washington Street and South Main Municipal Service Districts (“MSD’s”):

1. Attract reinvestment within the MSD’s;

2. Promote the rehabilitation of existing buildings;

3. Encourage good design projects which capitalize on the rehabilitation of existing properties and/or the introduction of compatible infill; and

4. Preserve the unique character of buildings.


Services (with assistance from the City of High Point)

City of High Point – Economic Development Corporation

The High Point Economic Development Corporation – a city department which is a public-private partnership – works with office, industrial, and retail clients. The High Point EDC and the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce work closely together as members of the Guilford County Economic Development Alliance – a collaborative effort along with Guilford County, the City of High Point, and the City of Greensboro.
